Signs and Symptoms of ADHD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a mental disorder that affects a person's ability to regulate their attention and behavior. People with ADHD may have difficulty paying attention, controlling impulsive behaviors, and may be overly active. These symptoms often lead to problems at school, work, and in social situations.

Symptoms of ADHD may be different in each person and can range from mild to severe. Common signs and symptoms of ADHD include:

1. Difficulty paying attention or staying focused
2. Being easily distracted
3. Struggling to follow instructions or complete tasks
4. Frequently losing things, such as toys or homework
5. Being forgetful
6. Being unable to sit still or fidgeting constantly
7. Talking excessively
8. Interrupting others
9. Difficulty taking turns or waiting
10. Struggling with organization and time management

It's important to note that these symptoms can also be common in people who do not have ADHD. If you're concerned that you or someone you know may have ADHD, it's important to talk to a healthcare provider. They can help determine if ADHD is the cause of the symptoms and recommend appropriate treatment.
